The Hon Yen complex is located in Nhon Hoi village, An Hoa Hai commune, Tuy An district, including Hon Yen, Hon Dun, Hon Choi, Vung Choi, Ban Than, and Ganh Yen. Of which, Hon Yen is the highlight of this scenic complex. Hon Yen, located about 400 m from the coast, has an area of 1.98 ha, a height of 70 m, surrounded by vertical cliffs from the sea up. The coral reef in the Hon Yen complex has a fairly large area, spreading from Ganh Yen to Hon Yen with an estimated area of about 30.2 ha. Here, there is also a shrine to worship the god Nam Hai (worshiping Whale). Every year in the third lunar month, people organize the Cau Ngu Yen Festival, which is a prominent cultural and religious activity of the local community.
Coming to Hon Yen when the tide is low, visitors can admire the rocky beaches full of green moss and creatures such as starfish, colorful fish, snails, etc. Especially, the image of coral rising above the water surface with many colors. This is also an ideal place for visitors to keep their romantic images with the space and beautiful natural scenery. Hon Yen complex was ranked as a national scenic relic by the Ministry of Culture – Sports and Tourism on December 29, 2017.
