On the morning of November 24, at the Dak Nong Provincial Convention Center, the Closing Ceremony of the 20th International Conference on Volcanic Caves (ISV20) and the Scientific Workshop “15 Years of Geopark Development in Vietnam” took place in a live format.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Christian Manhart, Head of the UNESCO Office in Vietnam; John Brush, Chairman of the International Volcanic Caves Committee; Guy Martini, Chairman of the UNESCO Global Geopark Council, Secretary General of the Global Geoparks Network, along with all international guests, scholars, scientists, cave photographers, domestic and provincial delegates, and central and local press agencies.

Mrs. Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee – Head of the ISV20 Organizing Committee presented a souvenir painting to Mr. John Brush, Chairman of the International Volcanic Caves Committee at the Closing Ceremony.
After 3 days of working with a very positive, responsible and effective spirit, the 20th International Conference on Volcanic Caves and the Scientific Workshop “15 Years of Developing Geoparks in Vietnam” have completed the proposed content and program. The presentations and suggestions of scientists and experts at the workshops are of great significance, introducing new scientific values about volcanoes and volcanic cave systems in Dak Nong in particular and of volcanic caves in the world in general.
The ISV20 International Conference and the Scientific Workshop “15 Years of Developing Geoparks in Vietnam” held in Dak Nong were a great success. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, Ms. Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh – Vice Chairwoman of Dak Nong Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee, sincerely thanked the delegates, leaders, scientists and experts who attended and contributed ideas to the thematic workshops. And we hope that after this Conference, the leaders, international guests, scientists and distinguished guests will have meaningful sightseeing and experience activities at some points in the 3 routes of the Dak Nong UNESCO Global Geopark, especially the volcanic caves in Krong No district, which will take place from noon on November 24-26.
